ABSTRACT:
A novel macroamine polymer particularly useful as a flocculating agent, said polymer having a structural unit shown by the following formula: ##EQU1## wherein R represents an alkyl group containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, x is a mol decimal fraction between about 0.65 and 0.95, and y is a mol decimal fraction between about 0.23 and 0.04. Said polymer can be obtained by reacting polyvinyl bromide with an N-monoalkylaniline having 1 to 4 carbon atoms in the alkyl group.
