A water pump includes an engage mechanism25which is disposed between a pump body21and the end portion of a pump shaft23opposite to the side where an impeller22is attached, while engaging the pump shaft to the pump body against the urging force of the urging member which urges a mechanical seal24. The engage mechanism includes an annular member26which is rotatably fitted to the pump shaft23while contacting the pump body21, and a cylindrical engage pin27which pierces the pump shaft23in the diameter direction while sandwiching the annular member26with the pump body21.
