ABSTRACT:
The present invention provides a water photolysis system comprising: a casing1into which incident sunlight L can enter from the outside and a photolytic layer5which is disposed inside the casing1;wherein the photolytic layer5has a light-transmissive porous material51and photocatalyst particles52supported thereon; a water layer4containing water in its liquid state is disposed below the photolytic layer5with a first space6disposed between the water layer and the photolytic layer; a sealed second space7is formed above the photolytic layer5in the casing1;vapor generated from the water layer4is introduced into the photolytic layer5via the first space6;and the vapor is decomposed into hydrogen and oxygen by the photocatalyst particles52,which are excited by the sunlight L.
