ABSTRACT:
A hull for a water vessel which includes an elongated displacement vessel having bow and stern extremities, a major longitudinal and normally horizontal axis, a transverse and normally perpendicular axis, a length of about L along the longitudinal axis, a propeller mechanism near the stern extremity and a guide vane which is located at a distance of between about 1/4 L and 1/2 L (preferably about 1/3 L) ahead of the propeller mechanism.
