Water reducible, dispersible coating composition comprising: organic vehicle containing wax compounds of low oil content, neopentyl ester, carboxylic acid, amine, alcoholic coupling solvent, water. Vehicle is preferably amine salt of organic wax of low oil content, long-chain carboxylic acid and neopentyl ester, e.g. C30 acid and pentaerythritol.
