ABSTRACT:
A substantially funnel-shaped vortex chamber valve having a longitudinal axis assuming an angle to the vertical which is greater than 30.degree., having at least one substantially tangential inlet nozzle disposed in the vicinity of the lowest point of the largest cross-sectional area of the chamber, and an eccentrically arranged venting port disposed in the vicinity of the highest point of the chamber, the venting port having a feedline extending above the level of the head race.
