ABSTRACT:
A voltage-to-current converter comprises first to third transistors, first and second resisntaces, and a current mirror circuit. The first transistor is an emitter follower transistor, and has a base for receiving an input signal. The second transistor and the first resistor constitute a grounded-emitter amplifier circuit of the output stage. The base of the second transistor is connected to the emitter of the first transistor. The third transistor and the second resistor have the same characteristics as the second transistor and the first resistor, respectively. The base of the third transistor is connected to the emitter of the first transistor. The current mirror circuit supplies a current proportional to the collector current of the third transistor to the emitter of the first transistor.
