ABSTRACT:
A multivibrator capable of extremely high-speed operation and producing a linear sweep waveform. This multivibrator contains within the circuitry thereof a "digital" device such as a NAND gate being used in a "gated linear" mode of operation, a linear, voltage-to-current converter used to convert the output voltage of the "digital" device into a charging current, a capacitor which integrates the charging current thereby converting an amplitude into a time interval and a voltage-sensitive switch. As a result thereof the mulltivibrator of this invention requires only one voltage supply and the useable sweep output voltage is a very large fraction of the supply voltage.
