ABSTRACT:
A handover source AP among APs in a system has a RAM203storing a MAC address of a VoIP terminal performing a VoIP communication, holding status information indicative of a holding state, and data on the number of in-call terminals. A CPU202monitors all transmitting/receiving frames and packets of a VoIP terminal connected to a LAN so as to judge whether or not the connected VoIP terminal is disconnected. When the terminal is disconnected, it is judged whether or not a MAC address of the disconnected VoIP terminal is stored in the RAM203and whether or not holding status information is stored in the RAM203. When the MAC address is stored in the RAM and the holding status information is detected, a holding notification request command is transmitted to all APs. When the terminal is not disconnected, it is judged whether or not a holding notification response command is present in the packet. When the command is present, the holding status information is deleted and the number of in-call terminals is reduced.
