ABSTRACT:
A friction damper is mounted in series with a viscous damper to accommodate the normal magnitude vibration and the higher magnitude vibration occasioned from a larger imbalance of a jet engine rotor manifested by a bowed rotor and including a loading spring to allow the recentering of said friction damper when the higher magnitude vibrations subside.
