ABSTRACT:
Urethane oligomer modified epoxy resin compositions are prepared by copolymerization of (A) an epoxy resin and (B) a urethane oligomer containing at least one oxyalkylene group and both polymerizable ethylenic unsaturation and isocyanate (isothiocyanate) groups in the presence of a suitable amount of a suitable catalyst for oxazolidinone (thiazolidinone) formation.
These modified epoxy resin compositions can be cured with conventional epoxy curing agents and they can be used to prepare vinyl ester resins.
