ABSTRACT:
Ink compositions suitable for ink jet printing on a variety of substrates including metal, synthetic polymers and glass, are provided. The compositions are characterized by excellent weathering properties, are fade-resistant, abrasion-resistant and, when heated to temperatures of about 300.degree. F., exhibit resistance to aircraft hydraulic fluids. The preferred compositions comprise essentially a colorant or combinations thereof, an epoxy-phenolic binder resin component, a solvent mixture containing alcohol, water, methyl ethyl ketone or methyl cellosolve and, optionally, an electrolyte.
