ABSTRACT:
A rubber composition useful for shaping a vibration-damping rubber article is formulated with a synthetic rubber, which is preferably an organopolysiloxane gum, a finely divided silica filler having a specific surface area of at least 50 m.sup.2 / g and a specific .alpha.,.omega.-dihydroxy diorganopolysiloxane expressed, for example, by HO--SiMePh--O.sub.m H, in which Me is a methyl group, Ph is a phenyl group and m is a positive integer of 2-20.
