ABSTRACT:
A vehicular lamp including, within its lamp chamber, a reflector14, a led20disposed behind the reflector14and a mushroom-shaped light guide30that extends coaxially with the led20and guides light emitted from the led20to the reflector14. The light guide30has an umbrella portion40at its front end and a plane of incidence33, which guides light from the led20into the light guide30, at its rear end. The umbrella portion40has a first light emitting surface42for emitting light guided into the light guide30in the forward direction, reflection surfaces44and46for internally reflecting the guided light in the rearward direction and radially outward direction, and a second light emitting surface48for emitting the internally reflected light toward the reflector14.
