ABSTRACT:
A vehicle lighting system comprising an additional illumination lamp for additionally illuminating ahead of a vehicle and a control means for controlling turn-on and turn-off of the additional illumination lamp so as to follow a steering angle at which the vehicle is steered. The control means sets a turn-on reference steering angle θ2for turning on the additional illumination lamp based on the steering angle, a primary turn-off reference steering angle θ1for turning off the additional illumination lamp at a steering angle which is smaller than the turn-on reference steering angle θ2and a secondary turn-off reference steering angle θ3for turning off the additional illumination lamp at a steering angle which is larger than the primary turn-off reference steering angle θ1when the vehicle is steered to a predetermined steering angle which is larger than the turn-on reference steering angle θ2.
