ABSTRACT:
A vehicle illumination lamp including a projection lens14disposed on an optical axis Ax extending in a longitudinal direction of a lamp and a light-emitting element12disposed to the rear of the projection lens14. The light-emitting element has a light-emitting chip22disposed adjacently to the rear of a rear focal point F of the projection lens on the optical axis Ax; a translucent cover26for covering the light-emitting chip from the front side thereof with a predetermined clearance therefrom; and a light-shielding film28formed on a lower region of the translucent cover. In this configuration, the translucent cover is disposed so as to intersect the optical axis Ax at the rear focal point F; and the light-shielding film is formed such that an upper edge28athereof passes through the rear focal point F.
