A vehicle body10includes right and left floor frames16and right and left side sills13, all extending in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle body, are disposed in parallel with each other, and right and left front side frames11extend forward from front ends of the right and left floor frames16. Rear end sections75are butted to the side sills13such that the rear end sections approach the side sills13, and are joined to the side sills13at longitudinal midpoints of the side sills13. A cross member22spans across the right and left side sills13at positions forward of the joint sections and in the vicinity of the joint sections. A joint section85at the side sill13, the floor frame16, and the cross member22is formed into a substantially triangular shape in plan view.
