ABSTRACT:
This invention pertains to variable denier filaments prepared from synthetic polymers having a glass transition temperature of at least 30.degree. C. and yarns made therefrom. The filaments have longer length slubs, which results in their use in fabrics desiring a variable texture and dyeing effects. The filaments are prepared by drawing at ambient temperature a feeder yarn having sufficient molecular orientation at carefully controlled draw ratios and in draw zones having a specified length.
