ABSTRACT:
A method of imparting smolder resistance to cotton batting and other cellulosic materials through the use of the vapors from a mixture of boric acid, methyl alcohol, methyl borate and water at 18.degree. to 68.degree. C (65.degree. to 155.degree. F).
