ABSTRACT:
A vane mounting arrangement21, 31is provided in which a vane22, 32is secured through a mounting end23, 33within an aperture25, 35formed in a mounting platform24, 34. An expandable or expansive member26, 36is located between the mounting end33and the aperture35in order to create compressive engagement between the mounting end33and the aperture25, 35of the platform24, 34. The member26, 36is hollow with a fluid within a cavity27, 37in order to create the desired pressurised location by selective expansion. Thus, the assembly21, 31through the expandable members26, 36achieves a seal along with vibration decoupling and appropriate presentation of the vane22, 32relative to the platform24, 34.
