ABSTRACT:
A valve piston8of a vacuum type booster device is provided with a bypass passage51which is defined between a sound-absorbing member27and an input rod23to communicate directly with the atmosphere and a sliding-type plate valve52composed of three plate valve parts53, 54 55which are arranged around the input rod23to be relatively slidable in radial directions. When the input rod23is advanced beyond a predetermined distance relative to the valve piston8, the sliding-type plate valve52is separated between two of the plate valve parts53, 54, 55to make the bypass passage51communicate with the inside of the valve piston8.
