ABSTRACT:
A new family of crystalline aluminosilicate zeolites has been synthesized. These zeolites are represented by the empirical formula.in-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="lead"?Mmn+Rr+Al(1-x)ExSiyOzin-line-formulae description="In-line Formulae" end="tail"?where M is an alkali, alkaline earth, or rare earth metal such as lithium and strontium, R is a singly charged organoammonium cation such as the choline cation and E is a framework element such as gallium. These zeolites are similar to ZSM-18 but are characterized by unique x-ray diffraction patterns and compositions and have catalytic properties for carrying out various hydrocarbon conversion processes.
