ABSTRACT:
A method of inhibiting bacterial cell growth or of treating or inhibiting a bacterial infection in a subject by administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a polynucleotide encoding a polypeptide having α/β small acid-soluble spore protein (SASP) activity in a delivery system which targets a bacterial cell.
