ABSTRACT:
The subject invention relates to methods for prevention or treatment of gingivitis or periodontitis comprising topical administration, to gingival tissues of the oral cavity, of a composition comprising a safe and effective amount of a selective histamine-2 receptor antagonist compound, and oral care compositions used therefore.
