ABSTRACT:
Growth differentiation factor-9 (GDF-9) is disclosed along with its polynucleotide sequence and amino acid sequence. Also disclosed is a method for inhibiting oocyte maturation using GDF-9 inhibitors or by inducing an immune response to GDF-9 polypeptide or fragments thereof.
