ABSTRACT:
Glycosides of diacylglycerol, e.g. 3-β-D-galactopyranosyloxy-2-(octadeca-9Z,12Z,15Z-trienoyloxy)propanyl octadeca-9Z,12Z,15Z-trienoate (GOPO), which was isolated from extracts of rose-hips by activity guided fractionation, can be used as an oral anti-inflammatory agent for the treatment of inflammatory diseases such as arthritis and osteoarthrosis.
