ABSTRACT:
A method for reducing or preventing the generation of foam in aqueous environments by adding to the aqueous medium from 1.0 to 500 ppm of a foam control composition consisting of a .beta.-branched aldol ether alcohol, at least one surfactant having a melting point less than 20.degree. C. and a low HLB ethylene oxide-propylene oxide block copolymer.
