ABSTRACT:
A method for cleaning plastic objects, especially for recycling, whereby liquid surfactant and liquid caustic are added as separate feed streams to water to create a cleaning solution. The concentrations of surfactant and caustic in the cleaning solution are periodically monitored so that the feed rates can be adjusted as necessary to maintain the optimum concentrations of each component.
