ABSTRACT:
The present invention provides a novel process for reducing 15-keto prostaglandin intermediates. This process stereospecifically reduces these 15-keto intermediates using sodium borohydride and ceriumtrichloride, yielding a predominance of the 15.alpha. epimer.
