ABSTRACT:
The present invention provides a method of colon cancer chemoprevention or chemotherapy comprising administering to an individual suffering from colon cancer or at risk to develop colon cancer a pharmaceutical composition comprising an effective amount of a 2-hydroxy-5-phenylazobenzoic acid derivative or an ester of an active metabolite thereof, or a pharmacologically acceptable salt of the 2-hydroxy-5-phenylazobenzoic acid derivative or an ester or an active metabolite thereof.
