ABSTRACT:
Disclosed is the use of 2,4-di(lower alkyl)-1,2,4-thiadiazolidin-3,5-diones as ashless load-carrying additives for functional fluids. These thiadiazolidin-3,5-diones have the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are lower alkyl groups having 1-4 carbon atoms.
