ABSTRACT:
A thrust-bearing and guiding assembly which permits limited angular displment of a rotating shaft in any axial plane while preventing axial translation motion of the shaft comprises a bearing support articulated within a stator housing. The bearing support has two spherical sliding zones which form part of spheres having different centers, one zone being adapted to cooperate with a complementary surface of a ring which is endowed with freedom of sliding motion in the transverse direction with respect to the axis of the rotor within the stator housing.
