ABSTRACT:
The invention relates to 11-aminoundecanoic acids and 11-aminoundeca-4,8-dienoic acids and the esters of these acids. They have the formula I ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.3 are e.g. hydrogen and R.sup.2 and R.sup.4 are e.g. methyl and E is e.g. the radical --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 -- and R.sup.7 is hydrogen or an alkyl radical. The esters are suitable for the manufacture of salts of anionic dyes which are very readily soluble in organic solvents.
