ABSTRACT:
The present invention is directed to an apparatus for the prevention of foreign matter invasion into a fluid chamber of a probe. The apparatus comprises a tube coupled to a fluid chamber, wherein the tube has a first end and a second end. The first tube end is maintained in open fluid communication with the fluid chamber. The second tube end is maintained in open communication with atmospheric pressure. The tube is configured to maintain an operable pressure within the fluid chamber via capillary forces during variant pressure changes within the fluid chamber.
