ABSTRACT:
It is intended to provide an ultrasonic probe permitting a reduction of a number of switching components while transmitting and receiving signals with the picture quality level held capable of being maintained. An ultrasonic the probe comprises transducers, transducer side cables which number is equal to a number of said transducers and are connected to the transducers, apparatus body side cables which number is less than a number of the transducer side signal lines and are connected to an apparatus body, switching units for switching connections of a transducer side cables of groups A and C which is connected to the apparatus body side cables of group D, and resistors provided between the transducer side cables of group B and the apparatus body side cables of group E.
