ABSTRACT:
A composition improved in extrudability which comprises 100 parts by weight of an ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene having a viscometrically determined molecular weight of 1,000,000-6,000,000 and 10-50 parts by weight of modifier, said modifier comprising at least one member selected from the group consisting of (A) saturated aliphatic alcohols having 15-30 carbon atoms and (B) petroleum hydrocarbon cyclopentadiene type resins having a molecular weight of 500-2,000 and a softening point of 70.degree.-130.degree. C. and, as an optional component, (C) a low molecular weight polyethylene having a molecular weight of 1,000-20,000.
