ABSTRACT:
In the type-wheel resetting mechanism for the downsized printer: a resetting cam portion (13) is provided in a drive gear (12) to save the number of components and to eliminate assembly and adjusting operations of the cam portion (13) and the drive gear (12); detected portions (25, 25a) for type selection and motor stop operations are provided separately from the drive gear (12); and, a sensor (26) for detecting the detected portions (25, 25a) is provided in the vicinity of the drive gear (12) to save the number of components, which simplifies the construction of the type-wheel resetting mechanism and improves the type-wheel resetting mechanism in reliability.
