ABSTRACT:
An image processing system for performing thresholding. The system includes a source of image data, where the source of image data provides an image value and associated two dimensional slope information for that image value. And, the system includes thresholding circuitry utilizing the image value and the two dimensional slope information for determining a thresholded value from the thresholding circuitry.
