ABSTRACT:
A rotary exhaust valve is provided in an exhaust passage of an engine, which is rotated by the engine. A valve phase control device is provided for changing the phase of the rotary exhaust valve. An actuator is provided for actuating the valve phase control device so as to change the phase of the rotary exhaust valve in accordance with engine operating conditions.
