7-.beta.-Acylamino-1-carba-(1-dethia)-3-trifluoromethyl-3-cephem-4-carboxyl ic acids and derivatives are provided as antibiotics. Pharmaceutical formulations comprising the antibiotics, intermediates, and a process for their preparation are also provided.
