Compounds of the formula ##STR1## or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt of a compound of formula I which has one or more basic substituents, are described.
The compounds of formula I possess pronounced muscle relaxant, sedative-hypnotic, anticonvulsive and anxiolytic properties and have low toxicity.
