Tricyclic benzoylpyrazole derivatives of the formula Iwherein X, Y, R1, R2, R6, R7, R3, R4, R5, l, R8and R9are as defined in the disclosure and their agriculturally useful salts; processes and intermediates for preparing the tricyclic benzoylpyrazole derivatives; compositions comprising them and the use of these derivatives or of the compositions comprising them for controlling undesirable plants are described.
