ABSTRACT:
There are described triazine derivatives of formula (1), wherein R1is an unsubstituted or mono- or poly-hydroxy-, C1-C18alkyl-, C1-C18alkoxy-, amino-, C1-C5monoalkylamino- or di-C1-C5alkylamino-substituted C1-C18alkyl, C2-C18alkenyl, C6-C10aryl or C6-C10heteroaryl radical; unsubstituted or C1-C5alkyl-substituted C5-C7cycloalkyl or C5-C7cycloalkenyl; —OR′; or —NR′R″; R2is hydrogen; an unsubstituted or mono- or poly-hydroxy-, C1-C18alkoxy-, cyano-, amino, C1-C5monoalkylamino- or di-C1-C5alkylamino-substituted C1-C18alkyl, C2-C18alkenyl; C6-C10aryl or C6-C10heteroaryl radical; —OR′; or —NR′R″; or R1and R2together form a 5- to 7-membered carbocyclic or heterocyclic ring; A is C1-C5alkyl; an unsubstituted or hydroxy-, C1-C18alkyl- or C1-C18alkoxy-substituted C6-C10aryl or heteroaryl radical; or a radical of formula (1a); R′ and R″ are each independently of the other hydrogen; unsubstituted or mono- or poly-hydroxy-, halo-, C1-C18alkyl-, C1-C18alkoxy-, amino- or quaternary ammonium group-substituted C1-C18alkyl, C5-C7cycloalkyl or phenyl; R3is hydrogen; or C1-C6alkyl; and n is 0 or 1. The compounds according to the invention are suitable especially as sun protective agents in cosmetic, pharmaceutical and veterinary medicine preparations
