ABSTRACT:
An Ullmann condensation process for the preparation of triarylamines which comprises the reaction of an aniline and a halobenzene in the presence of a an organic solvent, an alkali metal hydroxide, a ligated copper catalyst and wherein the ligand is selected from the group consisting of monodentate tertiary amines and bidentate tertiary amines, and which reaction is accomplished at a temperature of from about 120.degree. to about 135.degree. C.
