ABSTRACT:
The treatment of Osteoarthritis by orally administering a pharmaceutical preparation containing a furanoside of the formula I ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen or alkyl with up to 7 carbon atoms, and R.sub.3, R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 each independently is hydrogen, alkyl with up to 7 carbon atoms, alkenyl with up to 7 carbon atoms, benzyl, halogeno-benzyl, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.7 -alkyl)-benzyl, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.7 -alkoxy)-benzyl or trifluoromethyl-benzyl.
