ABSTRACT:
A method of improving the resistance of glass fibers to high temperatures which comprises treating the fibers with tetrahydrofuran-2, 3, 4, 5-tetracarboxylic acid to leach the fibers prior to the deposition of a refractory metal on their surfaces.
