ABSTRACT:
A telecommunication arrangement for transporting power control information, comprising a base station, a radio network controller for controlling the base station, and where information between the base station and the radio network controller is transmitted on transport channels carried by transport bearers, each having a one-to-one relationship to a transport channel, a user equipment communicating with the base station, the base station comprises means for mapping data received from the user equipment onto transport channels. The mapping means is configured to map power control information from a transport channel onto a different transport bearer than the bearer with which the transport channel has the one-to-one relationship.
