ABSTRACT:
A transparent identification server receives an ID tag associated with a transferable business item from a domain-specific entity and allocates a virtual object ID for the transferable business item. The transparent identification server also receives artifact metadata tracking the activity of the transferable business item. The transparent identification server correlates artifact metadata with the virtual object ID.
