ABSTRACT:
A transparent, highly viscous, liquid shampoo composition comprising, as critical components, (A) from about 1 to about 10% by weight of a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether having the formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is alkyl having 8 to 14 carbon atoms, R.sub.2 is hydrogen or alkyl having 1 to 7 carbon atoms, and n denotes the mole number of added ethylene oxide units and its distribution is as follows:
