ABSTRACT:
Transparent glass microspheres that are based on a ternary system of TiO.sub.2, heavy-metal oxide selected from BaO and CdO, and strong glass-forming oxide selected from SiO.sub.2, P.sub.2 O.sub.5, and GeO.sub.2 are disclosed. The microspheres have improved uniformity in optical properties and in handling properties, whereby retroreflective products of greater retroreflectivity can be made.
